Most American citizens do not realize how deep China is in our economy including food, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and production resources of all sorts. Because of our severely unbalanced, balance of payments, with China, they use our debt to them, to invest back in the U.S.
They want to protect their investment. So, if they cannot buy productive agriculture rich lands, they can buy off all fertilizer plants, farm machinery production, etc., or at least buy a “controlling interest”.

I suppose we should decide now, if and when TVA goes up for sale to Duke Power, PG&L, or highest bidder whoever, will China gets to bid.
